Our Craft Festival last weekend, 3-4 May, celebrating 30 years of the Craft Village, was a huge success. Even the weather didn't dare spoil our bumper event and Saturday afternoon saw the sun shine on proceedings. With colourful bunting, balloons, marquees and children's bouncy castletreats, the fare on offer was varied and non-stop, aimed at pleasing all our visitors. Saturday featured workshops from most of our crafters and a Salsa demonstration from the SalsaMedics. We had wonderful music too from the Molly Hicks (see more about them on another blog). Finally, a poignant moment was a tribute to Jesus Modia, a Spanish stone crafter who was instrumental in founding the Craft Village 30 years ago and sadly no longer with us (more about that in another blog).
Sunday featured more demonstrations form our crafters and a polished traditional music performance from Ceann Golaim. We hope all who attended our Féile had great fun and look forward to the next one.
